  "There's one thing I find most impressive about Mark's work. He does not adapt to reality; the opposite is true.
  
  He sees numen where most of us would find none, transcendence in the commonplace; that alone would take talent. Yet talent is nothing without hard work. Mark is one of the hardest-working photographers on Flickr. Time and again he shapes his vision, adding beauty to beauty, flux to flux.
  
  A great photographer once said that nature is the artist, and the photographer only a witness.
