When I was little, I had a $15 Wal-Mart film camera. My mom would buy a roll of film, and I'd have it filled within the hour.

What I have in mind when I'm behind the camera:
- creating a context
- color
- lighting
- angle and perspective

My true photography love is candid photography; alas, I am somewhat shy about taking photos of people without approaching them for permission (which ruins the whole "candid" part), so I stick mostly to photographing landscapes and cats.

I shoot with a Canon S-5, using a circular polarizer where appropriate.
