I hate talking about me!

I love my camera. It's a Nikon D50. I have a Nikon N60, but I lent that to a friend an age ago (she's much better than I am).

I take photos of anything, really, that I feel like taking.

I hate having to take photos for someone, or people telling me what I should take photos of.

I mean, if we are out hanging out, let me just do my thing, you know? Don't say, "Hey Amanda! That looks cool, you should take it!" Get your own camera. What looks cool to you may not look cool to me and then I feel obligated and the photo doesn't turn out that well.

I used to be good at portraits, candid portraits, but I seem to be withdrawing from people and more interested in objects.

In other parts of my life...I like to read. A lot. I also watch a depressingly sad amount of TV. Lately it's all TV on DVD. I hate not knowing things, so if I hold off until there are enough seasons on DVD, then I don't have to wait.

Oh. I'm also doing a second year of AmeriCorps with Habitat for Humanity. That's why I'm so far from my hometown.
