I’m Alyssa Olsen, a 24-year-old who has been fighting for her life since childhood. I am a victim of our broken health care system.

Type I diabetes, Chron’s Disease, problems with my thyroid and a severe immune disease known as Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID) have left me with a severely depleted and dysfunctional immune system. My organs are rapidly deteriorating as they are under constant attack. I am a 24-year-old in a 90-year-old body.

Now I am fighting Regence BlueShield Washington for a life-saving bone marrow transplant that will give me back my life.
