Hi! I'm Allan, and I'm a travel addict.

I'm a software engineer by trade. I design/code systems software and Linux is my favorite platform. I've always been drawn to the outdoors and photography (if you can call taking snapshots as photography) is an offshoot of my need to document my trips. Nowadays, its a near complete reversal. I travel/camp/hike just to take photos. Picture taking now trumps everything!

I like exploring the off beaten paths and still dreams of someday capturing the perfect landscape in a perfect light. (But I do stick my fingers into other types of photography from time to time)

I'm cheapskate when it comes to camera gears (I use a pre owned Olympus C4040Z from the side streets of Akihabara and a hand-me-down Nikon D50).
