I have always seen little details in the world and wanted to capture them somehow to draw people's attention to them. There is so much beauty, if only you look for it.
After trying painting, drawing and prose, I picked up my first digital camera and fell in love. Now the proud owner of a Nikon Coolpix, Nikon D50 and a Leica Digilux 2, I am a very happy lady.

Alison sees things that many of us don’t see. Few would notice beauty in an ordinary bench being gently stripped of its protective coloured coating. Yet Alison’s pictures give us new eyes to see such things with.
Snow features in her work – that covering of white which both hides and reveals things. Alison uses this paradox to great effect.
Signs also feature significantly. Alison is alert to signs of love in ordinary scenes which most people would miss. This ability to see and capture so well the ordinary and the fabulous is precisely why we need photographers of Alison’s calibre."15th April, 2006
