I was born and raised in California and now live in Washington, DC. I have enjoyed photography for fun for many years. I started in order to document my travels, one of my other great loves, and now take pictures of everything and anything. I haven't traveled internationally too much for the past few years, so my focus has mostly been DC and my home state of California. I carry my camera almost everywhere I go and constantly see interesting images all around me - on the street (literally), in my backyard, in bars and restaurants.

I don't consider myself a "techinical" photographer and only know the most basic settings on my Nikon D3000. Rather, I try to take decent picures of what catches my eye and and I just see what works. I love color, lines, patterns, unexpected objects of beauty and candid street shots.
