Hello.

My name is Alex Washburn and I am from 'small town' California. I recently graduated with a BA in Journalism and a BA in Spanish from San Francisco State University.

I have interned at the Oakland Tribune and the San Francisco Chronicle. My experiences with the great people and assignments at these papers helped me land a 6 month internship with the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Tennessee.

I now have a professional web site www.alexwashburn.com but I will continue to use flickr to keep in touch with my photo friends back home.

Random Facts:
-I have traveled to 23 different countries
-2 years ago I couldn't even introduce myself en español
-I now read and write it at the collegiate level
-I refuse to die before I master Italian
-I am handy in a kitchen
-I believe 'hella' is the greatest word in the english language
