I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.

Self portrait, in university's bathroom by Alexandra Nicole Photography

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera.

Everyone has a photographic memory, but not everyone has film.

Majoring in Visual Art with a concentration in photography at the University of San Diego. I love playing with depth of field, focal length, and discovering new and different types of media such as cyanotypes.
I prefer and primarily shoot with film. Mainly medium format, 120, film but I also shoot with 35mm and large format. For my medium format photographs, I use either my Hasselblad or Pentax 6x7, both with a Zeiss lens. I must say the Hasselblad/Zeiss combo is pure genius. 35mm- I have a vintage, 1970s Minolta. As far as film- for color I usually stick with Kodak Portra NC (either 160 or 400 speed). Black and white, I use Kodak Tri-X (mainly 400 speed). What can I say? I'm a huge Kodak fan.

My current thesis is a focus on bodily imperfections/scars.
