Living in perhaps the most picturesque city in North America (Charleston, South Carolina) provides me a front-row seat to some of the most beautiful landscapes, culture, and civilization on the planet. If only I knew how to capture them better.

I don't have any particular bent with the pictures I take, other than perhaps the dramatic. I enjoy peculiarities and singularities. I'm fairly introverted, so many of the pictures here end up being landscapes, as they require the least intrusion into other people's consciousness. I also simply enjoy the solitude of being on the beach at sunset with a camera and nobody else around.
