AlaskaCoal.org is a growing coalition of utility ratepayers, commercial, sport and subsistence fishing and hunting interests, and tourism businesses that support clean water, healthy fish and game habitat, sustainable jobs and fixed-cost power from renewable energy. Matanuska Electric Association Ratepayers Alliance, Homer Electric Association Members Forum, Utility Watch and the Chuitna Citizens Coalition are leading this effort, and additional groups will be added as Alaskans learn about the true costs of coal in the Last Frontier.
