    SeenyaRita says:

"His work is perfectly imperfect and full of eloquent silence. These clearly ambiguous photos are of strangely familiar things. Consistent with all these contradictions....he's awfully good!"

    Mr Luke Harby says:

"If you want lyricism, elegance and poetry look no further than Mr Wentworth's stream.

    Utterly beautiful and compelling."

"oh how sad. I've realized to my dismay that I've not written this poor fellow a deserved testimonial yet...
Alan Wentworth is the eyes behind a vision of beauty and obviousness. each picture is like one word. one word only. maybe small letters, maybe big letters. that's all you get but you really don't need any more.
    thanks Alan."

    "Lux obscura.

The dark rich light of Alan 's work.

There's a vibrating world here, timeless, ready to reveal gently those little ephemeral miracles that we may call:distinct moments .Cracks like rare gifts. The sensitive brightness of an unknown inner life.

    An elegant,exquisite vision.

    I enter silently."

    Dalmatica says:

"Describe Alan Wentworth’s photos in a testimonial? Tough. I would need to write a book, but no one wants to read more than 10 sentences nowadays, do they? Still, I wanted to write something for one of the few people on Flickr whose photography as well as personality are tremendously inspiring.

I will start with superb level of skill; although I said it before: if he can make a wall look that amazing, he can do anything. But I won’t spend much time on technical side, because introspectiveness is what inspires me the most. Whether he is portraying humans or architecture, decay or hipness – all that meets the eye carries a sign. And then...I am always left wondering...Inquiring about the layers that are not meeting the eye, and what mysterious meaning they might have. And then sometimes, it is just grand to have the freedom of no memory – like his ‘Amnesia’ set. “Decay” series propels the imagination into strange directions... And the “Self-Mutilate” is a photo diary of fun as it is of thought; especially those we’d rather hide; if you know what I mean. I see great sense of humor in this series, more should be done! So... I’ve traveled many places with these shots – through dreams, childhood, bottom of the ocean, air, Japan, and fish markets. Take the ride."

"Alan photographs a wide range of subjects yet maintains a consistent and unique style. Great observations of texture and pattern. Sensitive use of colour and exposure. Consistently good composition, always improving and always encouraging of others.

Alan is one of the most under-appreciated photographers I have seen on Flickr. Take a look at his sets, dammit :-)"
