Late Red's photostream  

Work:
Railwayman since leaving school in 1980. First with British Rail Southern Region (South Eastern Division); then Trainload Freight (Southern & Anglia); Railfreight Distribution (RfD); English Welsh and Scottish Railways (EWS); DB Schenker.....and now London Overground (LOROL).

Photography:
Nowadays a Canon EOS 50D. The first camera I used with any serious intent was a Lubitel 2 using B&W 120 roll film which Flickrite '74009' and I developed, and then printed from, ourselves. As a result of working in the transport industry I take an interest in most forms of transport and my photography often reflects this. I also try to take photographs of anything and everything else that catches my eye, taking inspiration from the work of Flickrite contacts and friends.

Leisure:
Travel particularly - and languages interest me too. All sorts of other interests too but none to the level of fanatiscism. Bit of a 'Jack of all trades and master of none' :-). Oh, and then there's the double-decker bus.......

Flickr:
I have found Flickr a great source of inspiration, entertainment and even education. I try to comment as often as I can on my contact's photos, and greatly appreciate the inspiration and information from the images and comments of others.

Late Red:
My name on Flickr used to be "Jupiler", after a Belgian 'Eurofizz' lager which has featured in my past (and not just through drinking it occasionally). However, I thought I'd change it to "Late Red" to mark the name of one of my favourite British real ales, from Shepherd Neame.
