I'm married and have two great kids.

My love of photography started when I was just a child. When I was small, my father shot slide film and developed it in the closet. One of my favorite things in the world was getting to stay up with the adults to watch the family slideshows, which were projected on the living room wall. I am now the owner of all my dads slides. One day, I'd love to put them on DVD, however I don’t think they would be as fun to watch. Think about it, there would be no cha-chunk of the slide projector or the periodic up side down or stuck slide.

My husband bought me my first SLR camera about 10 years ago. It was a Christmas gift that I found early. By the time Xmas came, I had already read the entire manual and figured out all the buttons. It wasn't until a few years ago that I finally told him my secret.

My new weapon is a Canon 20d. It's my dream camera. I knew this was MY camera the first time I picked one up. The fit is perfect.

I'm not a technical shooter and I'm not afraid to admit it. The technical aspect of the camera totally confuses me. For some reason my brain just can't wrap around all the numbers. I can't tell you how many books I've read and notes I've taken, I just can't make it make sense. Sometimes I shoot in auto mode and sometimes I shoot manual. I just change settings and take a shot....change settings and take a shot.

I hate taking people pics which is funny because I'm the school photographer. I like to hang out in old cemeteries and my new goal is to start taking photos of train grafitti. I also love to photograph birds and butterflies or anything nature.

I love high contrast photographs and pictures that have a dreamy feel. I use Photoshop 7 but I'm not that good at it. I can do some basic editing and that's about it. I also use a plugin called Virtual Photographer.
