I have loved photography since I was 12. For more than 40 years I've been the family photographer so there are few pictures with me in them. I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. Photography is a way for me to engage with and enjoy the world. I see things differently when I'm thinking about how I want to shoot them.
Why am I a photographer? Because of the delight I take in the visual world, in isolating and appreciating what I can find, like a prospector. It's the joy of the hunt, the serendipity, the ability to continually refine my skills and get better.
