I am a Geologist by training and a Project Manager by profession.

Photography is my hobby and the major turning point was when I got myself a Nikon DSLR back in 2008. Before that I have only a point & shoot camera, also Nikon, and somewhat I've realised that I need to have a better camera to take photos that depict accurately things that I actually see in reality. I think buying the Nikon D80 kit is the best investment that I have made thus far (alongside with additional lens and other camera accessories), judging by the satisfaction that I get from seeing my photos at flickr, and also the stream of viewers to my flickr site that I have never met in reality!

My Flickr user icon was taken from a shot photographed by my 4+ year old son in September 2010.

Most photos in my Flickr account are taken with Nikon D80 (bought December 2008), Sony Cybershot and Nikon E4100. Mobile captures were from Sony Ericcson K750i, Nokia E71 and Nokia E72.
