We are freelance social media and new media content producers using new media cameras and Nokia smartphones.
We are independent and alternative, mobile new media citizen journalists, social commentators and participatory Vancouver Downtown Eastside ( DTES ) community members who are learning, peer training and exploring ways to provide digital, new media and also “traditional” coverage of local events and issues by way of websites, photos, blogs, vlogs (online videos blogs )
We believe the digital media literacy is a right for all folks in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside
Our site at www.AHAMEDIA.CA is a personal and also collaborative effort with our mentors to explore more about community generated media with social media and new media applications
