  "It’s almost impossible to stop when you start writing about a “pagla daktar from New Zealand”, named Aftab Uzzaman, Aftab Bhai to so many of his fans/followers. I feel so honored to be able to call him Aftab. My friend Aftab.
  He is a magician. A closed envelop is transformed into a nostalgic smell. A fallen petal becomes a song from the bottom of your heart. He wipes out the lines of reality as if those never were there. And, he does all these things with such an ease – like listening to an instrument from the maestro. He is a maestro of the art of photography.
  But all these things are just the beginning when you start understanding the person Aftab. We the flickr lovers are so blessed to have a soul like him among us who has elevated this social sharing environment to such a high level where all the boundaries get faded out. He does this by sharing his feeling, his passion, his joys, his sorrows, his agonies, his hopes with us in a loving, inhibition-less way. His photostream has become a part of our lives for so many of us!!

His instinct for the subtle tones are so pronounced, they accompany you on every step through out his stream. No matter if he photographs birds on the beach or a demonstration of his own artistic expression. His signature is immediately recognizable. If I were some Camera Maker brand, I would hire this guy immediately to demonstrate what the Camera in the right hands is capable to do.   "I'm not very good with words, and somehow I'm afraid if I try to describe this man with too many words, I might end up making him underrated.
  
  Have you ever seen a king tell all the members of his royal parliament that they can be great rulers? Ever seen a leopard say to a deer that it can be much faster than it thinks? Ever heard the sun tell the moon - "Your silver glow amazes me!" ?? This is Aftab bhai. Him being one of the most humble people I have met, he's always encouraging all his fellow amateur and pro photographers with great generosity. He's undoubtedly one of the biggest inspirations to me, and though every photographer has his or her own way of being marvelous, outstanding and unique, Aftab bhai's uniqueness falls into a whole different category that is beyond definition.
  
  May Allah bless him with knowledge, skill, happiness, success and everything good in this world and hereafter, and save from him everything that is evil. My prayers, support and best wishes are with him. Always."

  "I don't write testimonials easily. Not because I find the photographer undeserving, but because I'm lazy and making that effort is far too time consuming for me. However, when I do sit down and write something for someone (which is rare), you would know for sure I have been stirred enough to make that conscious effort. Aftab Bhaia's stream is as such - you cannot leave it without being moved.
  
  I remember writing an almost 2-page long introduction to his genius for a thread at a Flickr group. I don't want to repeat myself. People I care about and respect are well-aware of the fact, and it's expressed through my interactions with them. Aftab Bhaia is aware of my admiration for his work, but greater for the humane inside him; and it has been a privilege to befriend someone like him.
  
  Yet, words cannot be stopped from coming. Aftab Bhaia's stream is poetic, in terms of both the photos and the words that compliment them. It's sheer delight in its quintessential form and I have never been left less awed as I skimmed through the photos. However, on a personal note, I believe Aftab Bhaia's photos are capable of that voice, of being that poignant because of the person he is. His emotions, thoughts and beliefs reflect through his work, and it tells us the story of a beautiful man who has succeeded in capturing the mundane beauties of a world troubled by terrible things. To imagine and execute such work in a time and place like this requires skill, and Aftab Bhaia has been (thankfully) blessed with an abundance of it.

  "I'm going to go ahead and say it. Aftab has made it to the top of the list of my most favorite photographers in flickr. I don't think I've ever had such a beautiful and poignant an experience perusing though any stream as I have with his. And I'm no way near completion.
  
  The guy tells me he isn't a photographer by profession, if you have had the fortune to sight even one of his wonders, and I mean his photograph here, I'm sure you can empathize with my incredulity. I for one think he has missed his calling, although I'm sure he is as good as saving lives as he is at capturing them in photographs =)
  
  What moves me and leaves me in awe of him is how well he captures the most poignant moments in life so effortlessly. It makes me wonder how anyone can be so very well prepared to capture the most miraculous of sceneries. I don't usually like to call anyone perfect because the term usually means...'boring' to me.
