I'm 21 and currently going to school at SUNY New Paltz for Photography.




I'm getting more and more into photography every time I pick up a camera. I've been serious with photography for about 2 years, give or take. I recently got my first DSLR. I love the instant feedback and ease of editing with this medium, but I hope to get back to my roots and shoot more 35mm film and hopefully other formats as well. I'm currently trying to hone my style and really try to be unique. I shoot a lot without a flash or lighting kit...I try to keep to all natural. I've been working with my photos in GIMP and iPhoto, but hope to move onto other editors and broaden my editing techniques and knowledge. My photos are heavily inspired by music and the way I look at things while I listen. I often will use song lyrics to name my pieces. I'm a strong believer in the use of titles for photos. However I also believe titles can take away from a photo, so I only use them if I see fit. As of now I'm studying Visual Arts at SUNY New Paltz and focusing expanding my art...it's hard to tell if I'll be making a career out of it...time will certainly tell. Regardless, my love for photography continues to grow and I expect to create lasting memories with it.
