Adobe Books Backroom Gallery's photostream

Adobe Books Backroom Gallery opened in 2001 and has since become an important crucible for emerging artists in San Francisco. The Backroom's mission is to be an alternative space where artists can make momentous decisions in their practice and experiment freely in the company of their peers.

The gallery is located in the backroom of one the oldest used bookstores in the Mission District. The Adobe Books Shop has been an active supporter of the art and literary scene for the last 20 years, hosting a wide range of free literary, music and art events, including monthly art openings.
