"Remember in life to stop and take the photos." adda dada

Please do not snatch my photos ...if i find them, i will be plenty pissed...

i love taking photos of the FOUND OBJECTS & SCARY THRIFT STORE ITEMS....all very dada (hence the tag...adda dada) . The SAN FRANCISCO STREET FAIRS/PARADES are for documentation & fun.

And just because I took photos of some wild PUBLIC going-ons , THAT does NOT that mean i want to meet the like or see the like or have a hook-up...

I am NOT interested in being your freind/family if you only post rude nudes or if you are snatching photos from the internet and posting them on 'your' site...be creative and photograph real people...

If you photograph anything that ADDA deems demeaning to humanity such as anything racist, sexist, anti-gay, violent, or hurtful...or pro-Republican (right wing)...you will be BLOCKED! There is no room in the world for such things...

btw: ADDA DADA is definately OVER 18 YEARS OLD , hummm, like in his 50's...(geesh, that is old

AND since flickr does not have this as a relationship category under 'SINGLENESS' ...adda will add his...NOT AVAILABLE. (Thank you for asking, it is very sweet to be considered...)

I can not comment on ALL the photos that i browse through on flickr, but i certainly appreciate all the undiscovered talent that is out there...so great to see creativity exposed...so many amazing photographers , so many photos...

thank you FLICKR.COM for the world as seen through the eyes of so many creative artists...

Flickr friend , MARECRISIUMM, found this quote in a book:

"Inanimate things, even if they were not works of art, seemed to demand from him more than a mere passive response; they could affect him in a deeply personal way, arousing in him feelings that ranged from active dislike or an awareness of being rejected, to love and mutual acceptance."

Naoya Shiga - A dark night`s passing (written in the 1920`s)

SO WHAT'S UP WITH THE DADA-ISM of the FOUND OBJECTS that ADDA DADA loves to photograph?

In a few words, besides that of NAOYA SHIGA, the FOUND OBJECTS photos are documentation of those objects which were 'lost' or placed at a unique setting for someone else to 'find'.

The FOUND OBJECT photo is one that has to be quickly composed and shot. ADDA only takes ONE photo so he hopes it is the one that will capture the essence of that object. (ADDA does the same with his PEOPLE photos at the various FAIRS, too)

What was the begining of the object (person/company that created the object, the manufacture, the previous owner, why it was 'lost', if it will be 'found', what is it's next 'venture' from where it was 'found'. Will there be a future for the object?

Without being too 'heavy', it's like life ...

"addadada has been a shock to me!
His intelligence, his wit, his humor, his incredible ability to find new angles at life, to consider worthy "unworthy" things.
He knows Paris and France as many French or Parisians will never be able to because he also feels situations and judges people with infallible flair.
He has often proved to be the first one to comment a photo in my sets that everybody had not noticed yet.
He has often proved to be the first one to understand and appreciate the humor I saw in a situation.
This is how he shocked me, positively!

And then, his work!!! I say work because he is the first photographer that I meet that you cannot judge on one picture or a few pictures. You have to visit dozens or hundreds of his pics to understand his work: he is a gatherer.
Some years ago, a film in France "LES GLANEURS ET LA GLANEUSE", from Agnès VARDA had a huge success. It showed the world of people who use to sift through the remains in a morning market and use what others have discarded.
addadada makes his honey from all the pollen he gathers relentlessly.
And he makes us smile and laugh and think.
I cherish his prolixity, his originality and his creativity.
    I cherish his friendship!
    Merci, mon ami!"

"Oh Addadada, you handsome man you. Long have I envied your travels to lovely and exotic places and your lovely postcard writing! Always a pleasure to see your photos, close my eyes and dream I was there too. And your sense of seeing beautiful things in this world that most of us just pass by everyday is so charming. And you are yet another reason I need to be a gay man! (don't tell Zach or Ingmar!) Or need you men to straiten up for this girlie girl!

Always the best of travels to you my dear and your wonderful mother as well! What an inspiring relationship!
    XOXO- Emza"

"I am still quite new to Flickr, and I have already had the chance to converse with people who interest and humour me deeply.

Adda, this is the first testimonial I have done for anyone on here - and I am happy to say a few words about you.

You have a wealth of knowledge of the cultural history that I excites me and which I find fascinating. I would have loved to have experienced the 70s clubs and scene as you had. However, I think that I would possibly not be here today, if that were the case.

There is an air of Baron Munchausen (or even Zelig - right place, right time) to your stories - I am not saying that they are untrue, but you are a natural raconteur and a genuine eccentric - qualities I absolutely adore in a person. I will look forward to the book that is ready to burst from you. Get writing it now. Hold on, don't write for too long or you will be missed on here."

    Me & my life! says:

"Yes, I would call Addadada a friend, if I may say so. From what I understood in my poor english is, that he is a lesbian porn-star with a Hello-Kitty-Fetish who lives in boxes with no time concept at all, a disco bunny in need, always well informed in super-bowl - but anyway: I love him and I am glad, he is around. I love his humor and his sensitivity, I am on my knees, when I read the stories, he add to his pictures. He obvisiously hits me right into my heart. But folks, I know his secret: It is his wonderful mother. Take your time and cruise through his pages, you won't regret it. All of a sudden your own life will appear so easy, well originaized and....(if I may say so): boring.
    Hurray for Addadada!"

"Adda is the onliest man I would cuddle with and share my bed because he is a honest photo friend over years. :)
His eye for nonsens is unbelievable! A second reason to love him.
Adda could be my witness to a marriage.
If I had more kittens like Joschi and Juri I would bring him once of them. Adda would be a perfect Dad for my kitties."
