بسم الله الرحمن الرحي, "In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate".

"I'm beginning to sense Flickr doesn't have the mechanism to control over unethical mass downloads from unknown sources and other abuses with no attribution extended. Ironically, I am paying them for the theft. Thieves are born losers anyway - what a pathetic life some have. I have to give serious thought whether I should continue wasting my time Flickring."

Life is a bedsore staying indoors – I’m ancient, gray-haired and about ready to kick the bucket. My preoccupation is farming (principally, Hevea rubber and oil palm), but with a bit of tertiary education and exposure in plant taxonomy decades ago in the '70's, thus enabling me to briefly put some little words to the numerous species here. Rather faded and feebly trying hard to grasps the technicalities. Whenever my mind wandered, I can't help being infinitely grateful to my great botany teachers [Prof Dr Chin Hoong Fong and Prof Dr Ruth Kiew, both were young lecturers then at the College of Agriculture Malaya and while doing my graduate studies at Iowa State University, Ames, IA, United States, by both the late Distinguished Prof Dr Lois H. Tiffany and Distinguished Prof Dr Richard W. Pohl] for the extraordinary gifts that etched the appreciation of the subject to this day. To these accomplished and committed professors I am truly indebted. Images of Malaysian flora diversity (endemic, indigenous or exotic) posted here are personally taken by me as an amateur. My approach is simple - "Flora Unlimited".

I am not really a macro photography enthusiast. Apparently, I see the images portrayed more of abstract photo art forms that mask and distort the little taxonomic details available to a layman's naked eyes or even assisted with a rudimentary field magnifier for that matter. A mix of both close-up details with the species’ habitat is more complimenting. Perhaps, the lack of equipments and no expertise is the main reason as an excuse, which shuns and discourages me from pursuing the technique. I may attempt and enjoy it one day when the situation permits and some dispensable cash to spare for the gadgets is available without ripping a hole in my pocket.

All my images posted leisurely are licensed as CC-BY-NC-SA ©(All rights reserved) STRICTLY NON-COMMERCIAL. My intention is for educational purposes by creating awareness and appreciation of life forms of little things around us that most failed to recognize or taken for granted. I am not an authority in plant taxonomy and systematics and possible errors in identifying are mine. I welcome friends sharing common interest and looking forward for some mutual interactions. May God swt bless us all!
