Lived half my life in Los Angeles, and half in the San Francisco Bay Area (half of that in Silicon Valley, half in Oakland), so I identify as Californian more than anything else.

Am interested in a great many things - especially cars, movies, history, and architecture - but never really had a hobby until I started taking photographs in earnest in the Spring of 2005 (promptly starting a Flickr account to learn). In the years since I've become obsessed, to a large extent because there is so much to learn - and I love learning.

To the extent that I have a style, it is based on my work in computer graphics: I strive for clarity, transparency, and impact. I also use Flickr for general photosharing and to blog random stuff I find amusing.
