I have been spinning and weaving for 30 years or so. I have a Studio & Gallery www.amyclundhandweaver.com
I love to work with natural fibers, colors, and textures from fleece to finished products. I use mostly cotton, linen, wool, alpaca, mohair & cashmere in classic patterns for personal products, accessories, home decor and furnishings. I also believe in using local American renewable resources and recycled or mill-end materials whenever possible. It is hard to use only handspun yarns in my handweaving and still make it affordable considering the labor and costs, so I usually use mill-end yarns and recycled materials in general production. I try to balance the costs to earn a living wage through my textile work while remaining true to the traditions, processes, and nature of the artisanal craft. I work on 4 & 8-Harness hand- and foot-powered counterbalance, countermarche, and jack looms of varying sizes (and origins) from table to floor models, all operated by hand and foot (no computers or dobby systems), as well as many varieties of spinning wheels, historic and modern, to create limited edition pieces and custom items.

Handwoven Textiles are great for every home, big or little! I have a special section of limited edition 1/12th scale miniature textiles for collectors.

If you have any questions about my work, please contact me. I am always glad to share my knowledge of my craft and each piece I make. There is a story behind everything!
