However, I have discovered many collagists on the flickr photostreams and, with 2008 celebrating acentenary of collage, I am curating an exhibition at Arison Gallery, (Wilbraham Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy) a small gallery three miles out of Manchester, England. The exhibition will run from 24th February to 4th April 2009. This flickr page is a "virtual" exhibition of most of the works that will be on show. All are for sale unless stated otherwise.
In 1908, Picasso made a collage with a collaged element. This is the earliest known public work using a collaged element. He was later to develop the medium with Georges Braques in 1911.
I hope you enjoy this virtual exhibition; I also hope you will be able to visit the exhibition in person if practical.
