Wannan Labari Na - This is my story

I used to be from Manchester.
My home is Elsewhere in the UK.
My other town is at the foot of the Abuchi Hills.

I wish good things for others. I wish I was allowed a skateboard. I wish I could fly.

I wish I could sing like Marvin Gaye. Play like Louis Armstrong. Act like Robert de Niro. Confound like Groucho Marx. Paint like Vincent Van Gogh. Dance like Muhammed Ali. Shine like Georgie Best.

I wish I could inspire like Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Jibrin Bala Jos.
I wish I had a river.

I wish I could buy the truth for a penny (Ina buri saya gaskiya ta fi kwabo).
I wish I could capture the moment.
I wish I could write a song like this:
