I despise blogs. With a passion.
I have no patience for other people's rants and no interest (for the most part) in their opinions; blogs take forever to load, they freeze up everything else that happens to be open at the moment in the computer; their design is an ode to idiocy (self-linking titles and dates, for starters), and, for some reason, the images inevitably are all of poor quality. Navigating blogs is an effort I am not willing and have no reason to make.
Yet, I find myself approaching something like a blog, and can only thank Flickr for providing a clear, easy to use, and straightforward format, which is bordering on a blog without quite becoming one. This is a record of things I have seen and felt. First and foremost, it is for myself. But I also hope that others will see what I saw, the way I saw it - with my eyes, and will appreciate it the way I did.
