UPDATE..as of some time in 2011, I am now MD at Create in Brighton working with some amazing genius photographers. Work..work is COOL:)
I have previously appeared as a waitress, reinsurance technician, client relationship manager, project manager and barmaid. Somewhere along the line I got a politics degree, became an ACII and got an MBA. I also made several noise albums, tried to run a record label and did lots of gigs.
Now, I make photographs. I have no formal training, it's just what I do..

Nikki Acott.

She has an organic methodology in creating her work, preferring to use software sparingly while using the camera as a tool to carve imagery.

"In China there was once a man who liked pictures of dragons, and his clothing and furnishings were all designed accordingly. His deep affection for dragons was brought to the attention of the dragon god, and one day a real dragon appeared before his window. It is said that he died of fright. He was probably a man who always spoke big words but acted differently when facing the real thing."

Jasmic says:
"I was trying to think of a word that would sum up Maverick's Photography (with a capital P...) Then, in a flash, it came to me. Eclectic. I had to check that it was the right word, so I looked it up on dictionary.com
Eclectic
1. selecting or choosing from various sources.
2. made up of what is selected from different sources.
3. not following any one system, as of philosophy, medicine, etc., but selecting and using what are considered the best elements of all systems.
4. noting or pertaining to works of architecture, decoration, landscaping, etc., produced by a certain person or during a certain period, that derive from a wide range of historic styles, the style in each instance often being chosen for its fancied appropriateness to local tradition, local geography, the purpose to be served, or the cultural background of the client.
Not only did I choose the right word, it works no matter which one of those meanings you choose to use."11th November, 2007
