Now an author, speaker and literacy program director living in Parker, Colorado, I have dedicated my life to reaching and teaching literacy, autism and disability awareness. My earliest memories are reading books for my brothers enjoyment at age four and writing books for them at five. When my son was diagnosed with autism, I used the same skills to reach him and other families affected by autism.

Raising a child with autism is the begining of a magical journey. It is NOT the end of the world. After 7000 hours of research, I share what I have learned with other families. By detailing our journey I hope to be there for other families and offer my knowledge. When my my son was diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder I had already been researching what I could do to reach him. 18 doctors gave me 18 different answers and then I began to search for a better truth.
