Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Eric Milner; a North Vancouver photographer who has a passion for photography which goes beyond obsession. It was in Grade 11, when I discovered what I wanted to do with my life. Walt Disney Pictures started shooting The Boy That Could Fly just down the street from where I lived, and would watch the still photographer performing his duties. Decades later, I am an active unit still photographer in the same International Cinematographers Guild, I.A.T.S.E. 669.

I love the film industry. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I am constantly looking for new ways to improve and expand my skills. Recently, I embarked on a fine art project driven by nothing more than my passion for photography, and my love of photographing people. I packed up my van and traveled across Canada photographing every interesting person I met. After taking thousands of photos, and meeting hundreds of people, I am now excited to be back in Vancouver with an accelerated keenness to subjects that I can only describe as ‘heart and soul’.

People that have an unyielding desire to do something, usually do it well. My two greatest passions, photography and the motion picture industry, make unit stills the job I crave. Working with so many talented and creative people is my nirvana. I love this work, and can't imagine anything better. I’m quick, keen, I observe and document. As a fly on the wall with a great eye, my camera is intuitive. And I get on with people. That's why I do this: it’s as simple as that.

I have a full compliment of equipment including; two Jacobson sound blimps, state of the art Nikon cameras and a wealth of computer gear. I bring to projects over a decade of film industry experience that requires digital techniques and Photoshop post production. I love technology and I am current in all forms of Internet communications, tech tools and secure file transferring.
