Cornell Fungi's photostream

Yep, at Cornell we're fond of fungi. Here are images of some of mushrooms and other fungi found by my students, plus some of my own fungusy stuff. Some of the images illustrate my blog, The Cornell Mushroom Blog.
My images are all covered under a Creative Commons license. That means yes, I hope you will use them for teaching, to illustrate your blog, or for fiber art, bathroom wall decoration, or whatever. If you do use one, kindly leave a comment to let me know. You can't use them commercially without my permission.
The Cornell Mushroom Blog is where my students and I get to tell you the stories of fungi. It features some of the images you'll find here, and gives us a chance to share what it is about fungi we find so exciting.
Many of these photos aren't well captioned. That's because some of my Flickr sets are used in teaching: I take photos of the fungi my students collect, and it's their job to identify them. If they don't, I typically don't have the fungus any more, and I'm reluctant (OK, sometimes just lazy) to identify mushrooms from photos alone. Feel free to suggest identifications.
Most of my photos were taken with little Canon point and shoot cameras, which and handy and do surprisingly well with macro up to just over 1:1. Most are taken without flash, just hand held. My new buddy is a Canon T1i body with a MP-E 65mm macro lens, which does (only) 1 to 5 X macro, plus a Canon MT-24EX twin flash. It will take me a long time to get good at using it. It sure makes a great companion for exploring small landscapes.
