I appreciate your visits, comments, e-mails and above all, FRIENDSHIP in photography. :) With that in mind, I comment most often on photos of my key contacts, and on photos of those who comment on my recent work or fave it. Sorry, but I cannot possibly comment on everyone's photos every day.

In early 2011 I noticed an odd phenomenon: people who add me as a contact, never comment on any of my work, and yet constantly send me Flickrmails of the "shared a photo with you" type, evidently expecting me to comment on all their work. These folks have it exactly backwards! One great way to get yourself noticed (and receive comments) is to comment regularly on photos you like. I reciprocate as much as I can with people who show up regularly with comments on my work. It's unreasonable to expect me (or anyone) to take time to comment on your every upload when you are not commenting on my (or their) work!

If your photostream comes up as "(name) doesn't have anything available to you," please do not add me as a contact, fave my photos, or add my photos to a gallery. If you do so, you may find yourself blocked, unless you have sent me Flickr mail with some explanation as to why you have nothing to share.

Please note that ALL of my images are under copyright and not in the Public Domain. You may NOT reproduce any of my photos in any manner or in any venue without my explicit WRITTEN permission in advance. (This includes PINTEREST, blogs, and mosaics on Flickr and elsewhere.) If you wish to use one of my images, please contact me IN ADVANCE via Flickr mail with an explanation of your desired use. I will reply promptly! Thank you in advance for respecting my intellectual property. (Copyright law permits NO use by entities other than the copyright owner without permission from that copyright owner. The law makes no exception for uses that do not involve making money.)

Also note that many of my images are intentionally posted in medium or large size (no more than 1024 or 1300 pixels largest side, 72 ppi) and are not suitable for print reproduction. High-resolution versions of all my images are available for various purposes. Please contact me by Flickr mail with your needs/desires for any specific image of mine. Licensing fees will apply under some circumstances.
