Burning Book: A Visual History of Burning Man, is a narrative non-fiction, photo-illustrated, sunburned and somewhat delirious account of the annual migration to Black Rock City.

Portland-based journalist Jessica Bruder weaves together interviews with scores of participants -- from desert virgins to Cacophony Society veterans; from La Contessa's sailors to the Gerlach fuel guy; from the Flaming Lotus Girls to Larry Harvey, and many more -- to tell the tale.

Brimming with images from more than 30 photographers and dozens of festival artifacts, Burning Book brings a fresh look at BRC to newbies and playa-crusted oldsters alike.
