J.Fields' photostream

I am happily married and have three beautiful children (2 boys, and a sassy little girl). I love my family and enjoy being a mom. I think I have always had an interest in photography. I remember taking a photography class in middle school and loving it. I still have those b&w pictures I took and developed myself. I also remember around that same time period looking at a book of amazing photographs taken by various photographers, many of whom got those pictures in dangerous circumstances. I can't remember who published the book (National Geographic maybe?) but I remember being in awe of those photographs and what those photographers had to put themselves through to get those pictures. In fact, I now wish I had a copy of that book for myself! I didn't get my first SLR until about 8 years ago, and that was when I really started to increase my knowledge in photography. I got my first digital SLR about 5 years ago (Canon rebel xt), got the 30D the following year, and then the 5D the year after that. It was when I purchased the 30D that my "obsession" for photography began. I couldn't learn enough fast enough and I knew then I wanted to do this professionally. I couldn't stop thinking about photography and envisioning the kinds of shots I wanted to take and the kind of photographer I wanted to be. It was like being on a constant high and I still haven't come down from it! I have a lot of interests and hobbies, but have never felt nearly as passionately about any of them as I do about photography. I love this art!! I love the people that I work with and who trust me to photograph them and their families. I love to capture the emotion and joy and the fun and tender moments in their relationships. I love to capture people and things in artistic ways. I love to shoot outdoors and I love to shoot in the warmth of the evening light. I love photography!
