hi, i am addicted to convenience store soup and sandwiches, red gatorade and junior mints. i like donuts, too. all that and only one cavity—how lucky am i?!

so far, i have a clean driving record, but i will be taking a trip to the DMV this week. my plates expired last may... i get a little lazy that way. the city notified my neighborhood two days in advance before the backhoes, piledrivers, skidsteers and all sorts of other way cool giant destruction equipment infiltrated my block. i wonder who plans to foot the bill for the four new tires i need, not to mention inevitable chassis damage and the passenger-side mirror that was sheared off as i tried almost in vain to dodge the colossal shovel that swung my way.

i owe my reverse-driving ability to my journalism career—i got lost a lot and ended up in the ditch a few too many times, so i just drove backwards if i accidentally blew past my destination on the freaky rural-road alphabet that connected my coverage area. oh, and the city is not at fault for mirror thing. i saw a yellow cadillac with the rims of sunglasses and two poofs of white hair peeking over the dash as the errant driver was so bent on the sunday-go-a-greetin' dinner with da grandbabies, that she slammed the brakes just right to avoid a messy caddy v. saturn t-bone.

so that is the car news du jour. well, actually it's barely the tip of the iceburg, but the story about my icy january accident grows tiresome. hee hee TIREsome... ugh, bad one.

other than that, i fancy myself as a mobile-command-unit event and performance photographer who is head over feet in a newly kindled love affair with neon signs. after the honeymoon glow wears off, i will continue with my always-in-progress inanimate icons series. there are people on county road triple-O who have a rocket and flying saucer in their front yard. nuff said.
