I grew up in a family of picture-takers. Dad took over 500 photographs in Vietnam, my uncle shoots weddings, and my mom always had a camera in tow for all my soccer games. It was only a matter of time before I picked one up.

I specialize in photos of people.

Equipment I use:
Cameras:
Nikon D700

Lenses:
Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG HSM
Nikkor 55mm f2.8 AI-S Micro
Nikkor 85mm f1.4D
Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG HSM
Nikon 70-200mm f2.8G VR

    Mario C. Castillion Photography says:

"I don't know how he does it, but this guy is without a doubt one of the best 'storytellers' here in the club.
He knows how to portray people in different kind of ways and that is very impressive.
Not many people have the talent to actually say something with a picture, but he surely does.
There are some great sets in here and looking at each of them, I guarantee you that you won't get bored.
Fantastic talent, amazing pictures, great guy!"

"BJ is a great friend and a great photographer, and he's 90% of the reason I switched to dSLR. The thing that's most striking about his photography is its brutal honesty. He's a just-the-facts-please kind of guy, and it comes out in both the way he shoots and the way he writes about his shots. His "objective" style of photography allows his audience to develop their own ideas about his work, rather than imposing his own ideas on his audience. Please, somebody convince him to throw caution to the wind and move to New York. ;-)"
