This saying from India is my inspiration in seeing things beyond how they look or what they seem. While I have never been an artist, photography has given me a chance to express my artistic side, however insignificant it may be. Also, I use photography to capture moments, which otherwise might be forgotten in this busy life of mine.

The above quote summarizes what my passion with photography is all about. It is beyond the equipment, model, setting, etc. It is about creating a good picture, no matter how crappy the camera was, how bad the lighting was, or how moody the model was. It is like mom's cooking -- she makes great food even when there isn't much in the pantry. Get the idea?


When I am not photographing
I have a ton of interests, including road trips, golf, running, swimming, reading, news, politics, music, movies, etc. I am constantly looking for new places to explore. I love traveling to Michigan's west and north shores (Traverse city, for one) and Door County, WI.
