  whole lot more...Just the sheer time and effort to make one of these drawings, amazes me. Oparthamburg's drawings are mezmerizing. I can follow a shape, dig down deep into one of these laberinths of shapes, swirls, organic and geometric meanderings, and it will take me on a ride of sheer madness, or joy depending if I've had my morning coffee or not. Oparthamburg's current works are simple, monochrome, much more sophisticated, they echo Tim Burton's sensibility...which I like an aweful lot...a simple space is created with the flat shapes that wirl one into another, and the negitive forms created are just as interesting as the positive ones...excellent craft...it really does seem like he knows where he/she is going with his/her work. I see children's book illustrations, backgrounds for a fantastic story."
