What? "Male" and "London" is not enough information?

Okay, then....

I've been taking pictures as a pastime for at least 20 years. For most of that period, my main subjects have been buildings and scenery. I'd love to be able to do more documentary and people photography, but I never really had the nerve to point my camera at people I don't know (though I am slowly learning).

A few years ago, like many new parents, I got photographic tunnel vision and devoted most of my film, time and attention to documenting a couple of small human-beings growing gradually bigger. Not only that, but I had to sacrifice my darkroom to give the small people somewhere to sleep at night (unreasonably, in my opinion. I thought they could sleep in boxes in the kitchen until they are big enough to go to university), so I made a half move to digital by buying a film scanner and Photoshop 4, and completed the digital transition a while later by buying a Nikon D70.

After 4 years of being exclusively digital, I've and started using film again. It can't substitute for the convenience and flexibility of digital photography but it has other great qualities and provokes a different approach to making images.
