IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Full disclosure: I am recently separated (as of March 2010), moving to divorce. There are no sides to take or anything. Trent is still the father of my children and a good man. For those who communicated with him and want to do so, he may or may not make his own Flickr account. I'm just letting you know because some of you are couples and as a couple I know that we both preferred couples as friends here. Also, right now, all of my information is written as a couple, but you are now dealing with just me, Mary Sue. Yes, I am dating -- or will start very soon -- but even though some people may think it is good news that I'm available, this is probably bad news for Flickr people. Seriously...without a husband to look after things, I am even less inclined than before to meet people from the Internet. It was dicey enough before. I never actively pursued it to begin with. So, for now, I'm just dating people I know from the read world and getting used to change and missing my children on weekends.

Wow...almost 500,000 views. And over 200 photos now. That's a lot more mileage than we would have expected when we started this. This is more fun than we imagined...for both of us. We hope you'll come along! And, just so you know, we are 100% okay with Favorites (prefer comments) and Testimonials. Just don't favorite dozens of our photos and not leave any comment.

We're a couple and we're in our 40s. We live most of the year in a small town near Asheville, NC and we have a place on Lake Michigan. We travel in the U.S., Caribbean and Europe.

We enjoy receiving comments and favorites, preferably with comments, and testimonials. Originality in comments is greatly appreciated. Who we make friends is a joint decision. Well it's sort of that way. If you post comments that Mary Sue likes and makes her feel good and sexy, then that puts her in a good mood and that makes Trent happy and, when you boil it down, that's the simple way to get on our good side. And if we're happy, you'll be happy. And so on and so forth.

If you like to RECEIVE comments, send us a note and tell us what kinds of comments you prefer -- from presumptuously frisky to restrained compliments. We both write comments.

ABOUT THE WHOLE "FRIEND" THING: We've been bombarded with new "friends" and are very prompt about reciprocating when (1) it's a real life couple or (sometimes) female (2) with a profile and (3) a significant body of pictures* of themselves (4) that's actively updated (5) where closeup male shots are (at best) just incidental. Basically, if you're a couple that's trusting us, we're likely to trust you.

* There's no magic number required here. If they are decent pictures from several dates but are few in number, we're fine with that. If you're new and have just a few photos so far that's okay because we were in the same boat once. Go ahead and add us as friends or contacts. Just be sure to flickrmail us when you've got a decent amount of pictures to share to remind us to look again with a view towards reciprocating.

If you've got no pictures or mainly pictures of other people, particularly pictures lifted from the Internet, we're not interested and don't regard that as sharing. If you've got all closeups of your genitals, we can't tell if you're a real couple. If all your pictures are from a single photo session five years ago, even if some were just uploaded a month ago, we probably don't think that's an actively updated account.

The best way to let us know that you expect us to reciprocate is to send us a message. We don't respond to system messages where the stream is clearly not what we're looking to share.

As for FAMILY, we have plenty there, too, and those are for the handful of people we've gotten to know better over time. We have kept our FAMILY list to 20 (or below), and it is something that we don't just do. Being FRIENDS is a step towards becoming FAMILY. If we hit it off and connect as FRIENDS, then FAMILY is a good possibility.

And remember, these are still OUR pictures. We're just sharing them for you to see, not to repost in your threads. If you feel compelled to do the "tribute" thing please only work with the public pictures.
