I'm rather new to photography. I've always been drawn to it as an art form because of its ability to draw out so many emotions. So I decided to upgrade from a point a shoot to a dSLR in hopes of learning how to shoot properly and develop my creativity.

I currently shoot with a Nikon D300. I use a Tamron 90mm 2.8x macro lens, a Nikon 50mm 1.4 and a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8.

There are so many people on Flickr that I admire and wish I could develop my interest as they have. I still think I'm trying to find my style. I like the challenge of taking macro shots. I also enjoy shooting candid portraits of interesting people -- hence my near obsession of hanging out at Harajuku on Sunday afternoon.

I'm still learning the mechanics of setting up and framing a good shot, and how to process it. I know next to nothing about Photoshop, but would love to be able to use it proficiently. Gosh, I feel like I need a mentor!

Anyway, that's a little bit about me and my motivation for being here.
