A much loved bit of urban folklore is the piece about engineers analyzing the bumblebee. They reviewed its construction: its wing span, weight, body mass, size and strength. They came to the scientific conclusion that flight would be impossible for such a creature. The structure and strength of the bee's wings, according to scientific reports, simply could not support its body

It is a good thing the bumblebee was not informed.
