I am an IT researcher. I got my PhD in 2006. I am Chinese, working in UK.

Photography is one of my biggest hobby. I bought a Nikon D50 this year and really like it.

I have 4 lenses: 50mm Nikkor 1.8, Sigma 10-20mm HSM, Nikkor 70-300mm VR (2006 version) and Nikkor 18-55mm AF-S G 4.5-5.6.

I started my adventure on flickr early this year, and obsessed to it. Internet is a magical thing through which you know you are merely one of "THEM", with nothing special, as you will always find someone like you. Thanks to flickr, I now have a lot of contacts that I can learn from. It's always been an enjoyable moment to see all the talented people take magnificent pictures with their hearts.

I don't expect some day I will become one of them, but would keep photography as a visual diary to record my life and thoughts. As I understand life is all about memory, though we never stop for a single moment. But sometimes we just need a bit rest and take a break and enjoy the moments we were in some strong feelings 'love', 'hate', 'tranquil' etc, etc... Then pictures help:-)


Facts:
At free time, I enjoy doing something else, listening to various music as long as I like them. I do some badminton, basketball and like to travel around to see the world.

I enjoy Sci-fi movies and 3D first-person-shooting and flight simulation games.

I believe there is a near-to-perfect-match out there, somewhere.

Some wishes:

I still fansy to write a small 3D game to know all the bolts and nuts of 3D gaming industry and haven't had enough time to do it but I believe one day I will.

I still want to jam basketball into the basket but not sure I can make it in my life. Now I can only touch the height of 3.10m. Maybe to lose some weight will help?

I still want to learn a foreign language or two (i.g. French and Arabic etc.) It will be interesting to speak other people's native languages and understand their cultures.

I want to explore the world to see different countries and different people.

I want to learn classic guitar more and hope one day I can sing songs with my guitar.

I hope one day I can have all my favourite gadgets...
