Hi,
My name is Joris, I live in Extremadura, Spain, I was born in Switzerland and although these, I am still a proud Flemish Belgian.
I studied graphic arts, graphic design and illustration in Brussels. Since my childhood Photography is one of my mayor occupations.
I really started at the age of 12 with my first reflex, a Praktica MTL3 with a Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 lens, which was a great camera to practise photography: All manual ;-)
In June 2005 I switched to digital photography by purchasing a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 which is a compact camera equiped with the brilliant Vario-Elmarit Leica lens.
In the meantime I had several Pentax SLR's from which I still own a P30 and last but not least a magnificent Yashicaflex TLR which still has to be repaired.
In July 2007 I joined flickr.

Obviously I work as a Freelance graphic designer and since a few years I work more & more with digital images: Digital Photography, retouching, manipulation and creation of such. Although I still continue with the type, vector and text work: Design of logo and Isotipes as well Lay-out jobs in general.
However and due to some circumstances (frequent move out), I've also been working in other occupations. Last I drove a 40 ton 12 wheel truck loaded with Dangerous Goods through the south of Europe. (Yes I have the necessary licenses.:-) Fun for a while but not really my thing.

In the past some people asked me if they could purchase an image to hang it on the wall in their houses or offices. Soon this will be possible. Just stay on the look out.
