benzyme says:
"I was first introduced to Charlie in Stockholm back in 1989 by my, then baker, Hernlik Per Nelson. It turned out that Charlie had spent the previous summer entertaining his niece Janjji at their Gite on the Dordongne and that they'd been pen friends since birth. Janjji had worked along side my good friend Trevor Swain during the occupation of Lindstat trying to restore an ancient wall said to have been the only remains of civilization left by the Pterodactyls. Charlie is knowingly the only person I have ever known able to bite a live bullet as if it were a grape or a cherry, and this amazing trait saved my life back in December 1991 when he ate his way through all the ammunition of my would be assassin. I'm certain that if Bruce Willis wasn't so dam good Charlie would be there keeping us safe."

Joe________G. says:
"Charlie is a true inspiration, a good human being. Usually when I'm in London I bump into Charlie. The last time he took me to his house and made me a truly original salad which was delicious. Then he walked me down Brick Lane to a tube station like a right gentleman. All the way he carried a stick of rhubarb which he worried might look like an offensive weapon. But it wasn't, it was just good food. Thanks Charlie."

Le Crimson Rose says:
"Charlie is one of the funniest mofo people on the planet and a creative genius. He plays this down, but his desire for unpretentious simplicity and 'naturalness' is truly fantastic. This is reflected in his pictures and his 'people' set shows how gregarious, warm and compassionate he is towards others. He is a loyal friend who has saved me from a few scrapes.
Plus - he can play the guitar so fast you can't see his hands.
Thanks Charlie."8th February, 2006
