About me:
I love the color of light, the not-so-innocent smiles of children and perfectly ripe strawberries.
I’m a mom of 2, wife, daughter, employee, neighbor and a good friend to many. Photography is my escape and my distraction and my “me time”.
I am (obviously) a 100% amateur photographer and I try to learn something new about photography every chance I get. I’m thrilled with all the kind people on Flickr that share their how-to advice and all of you with awesome photos that inspire me.
I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 and I am trying to stretch its capabilities as far as I can without investing in a huge awesome new digital camera. I like the portability and spontaneity of a pocket size camera, but it definitely has its limitations. I have dropped it more times than I will ever admit to my husband and it still works good. I am struggling through the steep learning curve on Photoshop CS3. I also have MS Digital Image Pro 10 and like that program too, I open it first if I need to do something quick.
My posts here are pretty much all edits and creations. My husband doesn’t “get it” so I need to reach out to others that do. If you have heard the phrase “WHY are you taking a picture of THAT???” in your house then you know what I mean. :) …Though he does humor me some days.
