I live in Western Washington, on one of the islands in Puget Sound. My screen name is Agate because I like to walk on the beach below my house looking for agates, beach glass, interesting rocks and shells, big suitcases full of Columbian drug money, the usual flotsam that washes up after storms.

I've only been taking pictures for about 6 months and unfortunately for my contacts, do not have an artistic bone in my body. I have a cheap digital camera, which I point, shoot, and hope it's not too blurry. My insightful and sensitive photographic nature is best exemplified by my photos "Big Hotdog" and "Giant Mutant Rhubarb", both of which may set the photographic world on fire, if not actually win the Pulitzer.

I also just got PS Elements, and hope someday to be able to retouch a photo without it looking like it was done by a small child with fine motor problems, limited intelligence, and a set of blunt crayons.
