The lonely planet guide book for Baja and Los Cabos says "Mulege is the prettiest little town in Baja". It is located on the east coast of the Baja peninsula at the mouth of Bahia Concepcion with it's beautiful white sand beaches and scenic islands. The village was established in 1705 and is quaint with very narrow streets. We are located on the south side of the Santa Rosalia ( sometimes called mulege) river in the Oasis Rio Baja about one mile from the village. We have four docks on the river for our guests use as well as two Seda sea kayaks, two ocean sit-on-top kayaks, two Dyer Dhows (small rowboats, one with a sail rig) , and a 13 foot Livingston boat which can be rowed as well as take up to a 25 horsepower outboard if you bring your own outboard. We also have five bicycles for our guests use. There is wireless broadband internet access in the B&B, Casa de las Chuparosas, Casa Rio and La Casita or you may use our computer for emails. All of the properties have gas grills and washing machines. We are non smoking and children and pets are welcome but if you are bringing pets please discuss it with Cliff first. Grocery stores have all the basics but no sun dried tomatoes, etc. There are many vegetable farms in the river valley outside of town that cater to the organic market so in the winter wonderful fresh vegetables are plentiful and cheap. Fresh fish are very cheap and generally purchased directly from the fisherman. Mulege has a number of good restaurants that are very reasonably priced, for example an excellent shrimp dinner at Equipales (the most expensive restaurant in town) costs about $11 with a lot more shrimp than you get north of the border. What Mulege doesn't have is nightclubs and street beggers. It is a quaint sleepy village of about 4,000 people. If you search the internet for Mulege and Bahia Concepcion you can find lots more information and pictures of the area.
