  "I wish I could find words to do justice to this amazing photostream! For me, Janet's photos are some of the most interesting and inspiring ones I've yet to find on Flickr, for so many reasons.
  
  Viewing her stream cronologically, one is witness to the birth and development of a unique artistic talent - it's amazing to see the photos evolve from simple, 'snapped' images (like the ones I take!) to the carefully planned, structured and emotionally powerful works that she creates when the mood suits her.
  
  Speaking of emotion (and what is art if not a medium to communicate emotional experience?), what strikes me the most about Janet's works are the depth of honesty and bravery with which her feelings and emotions are passed along to the viewer - truly something unique! What's amazing is the ease of which she seems to achieve this - almost as if she naturally gravitates to what so many artists struggle heavily to achieve.
  
  I feel that Janet is breaking fascinating ground in her 'auto timer' self-shots. Blurring the line between photographer and subject, these images bring up a number of interesting questions about the nature of art, the relationship between production, staging, message and audience, and the nature of subjectivity within all these groups. One gets the sense that Janet and her audience are all discovering something new about both the artist and themselves. To me, this stuff is fascinating and totally inspirational!
  
  Janet seems to be doing things her own way, and finding her own special place in the world through the lens of her camera. No wonder that one of her most interesting sets is entitled "Finding Janet". These works are all an act of discovery of some sort, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found these amazing photos - they have caused me to think in new ways, not only about photographs and art, but about people.
