Hobbyist, crazy collector and restorer of Pentaxes.

I used to have only a passing interest in photography until moving from a point and shoot to a digital SLR in the summer of '06. Then when looking for used lenses, I started accumulating old K-mount film bodies, since they often came attached to some of the lenses I wanted, and started to dabble in film.

At first it was a novelty, but these days I shoot much more film than digital. Digital might or might not give me better results, but I don't care. Maybe it would be different if photography was my livelihood, but shooting film simply makes me happier, so that's what I do.

Plus, collecting and restoring old film cameras is kinda fun. Sometimes I enjoy that part of the hobby more than the actual photography.

I do most of my developing and processing at home, including color.

I love the old Pentax film cameras for their design and build quality, but I hate how they were named. Didn't they ever get tired of the word "Super"?

Although I appreciate comments as much as the next guy, please keep them text-only. I usually delete "award" comments if they have images in them, unless those images are very small.
